Exodus: Out of Egypt

The exodus of the Israelites is a vivid recounting of God’s faithful love to his people. The Exodus puts the power and holiness of God front and center as He liberates his people from captivity and provides for them in the wilderness as they make their way to Mt. Sinai. The gospel announcement of freedom from captivity to sin finds its roots in this scripture. Jesus the Messiah has brought us out of Egypt and his presence remains with us providing a better, truer life that fulfills our desires and at the same time exposes just how bad life in Egypt really was.
