program philosophy
The goal of the Residency is to equip every individual to be effective in gospel ministry. Two-year Residencies are preferred but can range from 12-36 months in length at Mercy. Residents will serve in different ministry areas, but will also have broad theological, leadership, and ministry training. We will build each curriculum around the candidate to help them achieve their ministry goals. With that in mind, Residents will receive training that is specified to their ministry area of focus.
Program Benefits
Residents will be provided with valuable ministry experience and leadership training. Participation will give Residents greater presence and responsibility in Mercy ministry. Participation will strengthen resume-building as they pursue vocational ministry. The Residency may fulfill some educational requirements for seminary.
