current Sermon Series

The Gospel of John: For God So Loved ______.

In this series, we will move from knowing about Jesus abstractly to knowing him intimately. “For God so loved the world…” is one of the most extraordinary statements known to humanity. God’s love for the world culminates in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, thus whoever believes in Jesus will be saved from their sins and have eternal life with God. God did not come into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through the transforming power of the Gospel. “But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” – John 20:30-31.

Advent: A Season of Worship

Join us this Advent season as we explore the birth of Christ and what it means for us today, as well as learn the story behind popular Christmas hymns. Whether you are a member of Mercy Church, an attendee, a new guest, or joining us from across the nation or world, we hope our Advent resources help you to rejoice in the hope of our Savior this Advent season. We have several ways for you to participate in the Advent season with us this year, from a weekly devotion guide to our annual Christmas offering to community outreach opportunities.

christmas missions offering

Give Now

The Christmas Missions Offering (CMO) is an annual offering that goes toward meeting the needs of our city, country, and world. The funds collected for this offering will be given to partners who are devoted to the advancement of the gospel in Charlotte to the ends of the earth. Mercy’s vision is to see a gospel awakening in the city of Charlotte that is carried to the ends of the earth!

Whether it’s a faithful partner in Charlotte, or a missionary team seeking to reach those with little to no access to the gospel, we are praying that these funds will help them meet the physical and spiritual needs in our world.

Reconstructing faith

Mercy Church hosted guest speaker Barnabas Piper on November 5, 2022, to teach about faith reconstruction. Throughout three sessions, we learned how to ask questions, explore doubt, and cultivate tools to think about our faith. If you find yourself going through this process, or you know people who are, check out the recordings from the weekend and learn how to ask questions without losing your faith in Jesus, the scriptures, and the church.
