Partnership
We partner with one of our members who lives and serves in Botswana. She works alongside church planters and local believers to make disciples in the region. - Partner with long-term Goers to host events to serve the community
- Work in a nearby village that has few known followers of Jesus

Partnership:
Mercy Nairobi was planted by Mercy in 2021. Pastored by Allan Waruhiu, our previous student pastor, Mercy Nairobi is reaching the city of Nairobi and provided a church for many longing for the truth of the gospel. Mercy House, a ministry of the church, is one of the primary ways that the church is bringing the Kingdom of God to the city. This ministry provides resources and housing for women as they transition from vulnerable situations into more stable work and home environments.
This team will:
- Serve and encourage Mercy House and Mercy Nairobi.
- Encourage Allan and M’Lynn and their family
- Worship with the church and learn what the global church is doing to further advance the Kingdom of God
Application due: December 31
Cost: $2500

Middle East
Partnership:
Our partners here are a part of a local international church. This church is home to people from dozens of nations worldwide, worshipping together in English and being discipled in their own languages. They work to reach a specific people group in the city and recently planted a church in this group’s language, where men from the group also pastor. Our partners help to lead and equip the church and the pastors to reach others from their country and grow together as the body of Christ.
A short-term team will:
- Encourage the church and be encouraged by her faithfullness through persecution
- Prayer walking alongside the team and their church
- Serve the church by caring for children while they gather for worship
- Provide resources for the partners and their pastors
Application due:

North Africa
Partnership:
This team is focused on making disciples and planting churches in a major city that will impact the entire region. They work to provide resources in the local language to make Jesus known to the city’s local population.
A short-term team will:
- Spend time sharing the gospel in the city, looking for new contacts for the workers to engage and pursue with the gospel
- Prayer walking alongside the team and their partners
- Learning language and taking part in local ministry to equip believers
Application due:
Cost: $2200

A short-term team will:
- Partner with a team laboring alongside the local church to make Jesus’ name known.
- Focus on encouraging the missionaries, who we trust deeply, and opening doors for them to meet new people.
- This trip may include time outside of urban areas alongside church leaders and pastors who are furthering kingdom work in places that Americans could never go and do.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can go on a short-term trip?
Most of our trips are for anyone over 18. You do not have to be a member, but priority will be given to Mercy Church members. There is an application, but this is to help us know which trip will be best for your growth and for supporting our partners. We will help you find the right trip and do our best to make sure you’re supported through the process.
Why should I go on a short-term trip?
Short-term trips are a significant step in your spiritual formation. By joining a short-term trip, you’ll have the opportunity to see how the Lord moves in new contexts. You’ll be equipped to support our partners’ long-term work, be exposed to the work of the global church, and learn how to have a greater impact in our own city. Short-term trips are a way to grow as a disciple and increase your compassion for our lost world.
How will I pay for short-term trip?
During the application and equipping process, we will provide support raising training to cover the costs. These trips are to support the long-term work of our partners, so we encourage support-raising and inviting your community to know about and support the work as well. You’re going on behalf of our church, so we want to make sure others are behind you.
How do we decide where to send short-term trips?
Our short-term trips are to teams we know and support. We’ve spent time learning and vetting the teams and have decided they are teams we want to send long-term Goers to join. We agree with their strategy, vision, and values and want to support the work for years to come.
