share the word

2021 Gospel Conversations in 2021

join the challenge

Why 2021?

As disciples of Christ, we are called to share His word with others. As a church, we want to have 2021 Gospel Conversations in 2021.
In community groups, we’ve been learning  how to share the word. As disciples of Christ, we are called to share His word with others. As a church, we want to have 2021 Gospel Conversations in 2021. Whether this includes something we’ve learned in our personal time studying God’s word, something we heard during a Sunday sermon, or even just presenting
the gospel to someone who may have never heard it,  we are learning to share God’s word with others. Since learning how to share the word was our focus in 2020, in 2021 we want to put what we’ve learned to action. We want to make it a regular practice to share the word with our family, friends, coworkers, baristas, cashiers, or anyone else we encounter throughout our lives.

I

learn how to share

We know that learning to share the word can feel intimidating, but we are here to help. A few years ago, we held an Equip Forum on How to Share the Gospel. You can also read about the practice of Evangelism and how it relates to the mission of God here.
w

have a convo

God will bless your step of obedience! Go forth and have a conversation about Jesus, the Bible, or the gospel with someone today!
{

tell us about it

We want to know how these conversations are going and we want to keep track of each one so we can reach our goal of 2021 convos! We want to know if this is the first time or the thousandth time you’ve shared the word with someone. We want to know what feels scary or overwhelming, what feels easy. We want to know how God is moving through your conversations.

Spiritual Disciplines

Throughout 2020, our Community Groups focused on three main goals. Meeting with God daily, sharing the word, and praying on the spot. The purpose of Community Groups is to become more like Jesus together, and these three disciplines will help you grow in Christlikeness.

We also created a resource called The Gospel Wheel which is a simple tool to help you follow Jesus in your everyday life. Learn more about each of these disciplines, watch videos from Pastor Joey, and take assessments by clicking on the link below.

Meet With God

We use the G.R.I.P. method to study God’s word. Mercy began a church-wide Bible reading plan in 2021 that will span the next two years. Download the PDF today to get started meeting with God daily.
