What is Serve Week?

Serve Week is our catalyst for mobilizing our church to serve our city. Because we know that both discipleship and development happens best in relationships, we partner with local organizations to serve throughout the year. During Serve Week we mobilize our people to pray for our city and serve these partners together.

Christian Adoption services

Christian Adoption Services is non-profit agency that is committed to connecting vulnerable children with a Christian family.

Wednesday, March 18th || 9:00am-10:30am

CAS facilitates domestic and international adoptions. You’ll have a chance to learn more about CAS while helping them prepare for their annual birth mother retreat. This will be the largest retreat they’ve ever done and would love the extra help! Kid-friendly.

Eastway middle school

Eastway Middle School is a Title 1 school in East Charlotte that seeks to educate all students and prepare them for college and career readiness.

Assist with making care bags for mothers and learn more about Human Coalition. Every month the human coalition serves 120 abortion-determined women by helping them pursue other options. 

Women in transition

Women in Transition provides safe, affordable, transitional housing and intensive support services for single unaccompanied women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Serve dinner and have conversations with single women who are transitioning out of homelessness. This serving opportunity is for women only.

Urban Ministry Center

The Urban Ministry Center is an interfaith organization dedicated to bringing the community together to end homelessness, one life at a time.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Dream Center exists to give hope to the hopeless by engaging forgotten communities and joining their hands with the body of Christ across Charlotte.

Hope haven

Hope Haven provides life skills for chemically dependent adults and families within a supportive residential environment leading to independence.

Team will host an ice cream social for the residents and staff. Come and build relationships with the residents and enjoy ice cream with everyone.

Rainbow express

Rainbow Express Ministries is a community offering children and young adults with and without disabilities, opportunities to share their gifts, to build friendships and to serve others, rooted in the abounding love of God.

Help with various beautification projects around the “log cabin” and spend time eating lunch with the friends of the ministry.  Teams will switch off playing games and working around the property. Great for families!

Prayer Walking

The neighborhoods surrounding Mercy Providence Road are culturally diverse and full of people who need the gospel. Come prayer walk around the neighborhoods surrounding MPR and maybe strike up a conversation with a neighbor or two. Great for families!
