Serve

Serving in response to the gospel

WHY WE SERVE

Christ has called

every believer to give their life to him.

We take that call (Matthew 16:24, Matthew 28:19) seriously, and consider it a joy to offer up the gifts that God has given us to worship him and build his kingdom. The gospel has changed everything; it has declared that the last will be first, that the way up is down, and that the way to gain everything in Christ is to lose everything for Christ. So we seek to do just that – to joyfully give our lives in response to the life that Jesus gave for us, and the life he has now given to us.

Mercy College

We believe college students are the most moldable, trainable, and sendable population. We seek to encourage, equip, and exhort our students to make disciples who make disciples, to play a major role in our vision to see a gospel awakening in the city of Charlotte that’s carried to the ends of the earth. If you’d be interested in serving our college students, there are a few roles available.

  • Host Families for City Project (summer only)
  • Host Homes (hosting students for dinners 2-3 times/semester)
  • Informal Mentors (ongoing)
