Serve Our City this Christmas
Each of our campuses will be focusing on a specific serving opportunity this Christmas, but please serve where you are able, regardless of which campus you regularly attend!

Charlotte Mecklenburg Dream Center
The CMDC Toy Store
What: The CMDC Toy Store serves children aged 0-18 years old living in three neighborhoods the Dream Center serves through its weekly Adopt-A-Block program. This store allows parents to purchase brand-new gifts at largely discounted prices and have them wrapped on the spot and delivered to their homes the same day.
Why: Poverty stresses the connection between parent and child by hindering some parents’ ability to provide. Rather than stepping in to take the parental role, the CMDC Toy Store meets families where they are to build and empower the family unit.
How: Donate or Volunteer, see below for details!

Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center
QCPRC Project Light and Life
Update: This serving opportunity has now passed. Thank you for being so interested in serving our city this Christmas. Please see above for additional opportunities to serve!
What: An opportunity for churches to partner with QCPRC by selecting items from a Christmas tree in their own lobbies to provide for new families selected by QCPRC. QCPRC has chosen 30 families and will allow us to sponsor one (or more). Each family member can write a wish list of three needs (socks, underwear, clothing, shoes) and three wants (small toys, comforters, etc.)
Why: Our ultimate goal is to connect the client and her family back to the church, but meanwhile, we want to bless them this holiday season and provide another picture of the hope we have in Christ.
How: Take an item off of the Christmas tree located in the lobby at Mercy Providence Road. Make sure you register your number with your contact information so that we can make sure all of the presents are accounted for when we do the gift exchange on December 10. Purchase this item and bring it back to Mercy Providence Road and place it in the box next to the tree. You can bring your gift in on Sundays, or feel free to stop by during the week (Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am – 5 pm). If the gift does not fit in the box, find a Mercy Staff member, and they will secure it in an office until we deliver the items.
*The Gift Exchange at QCPRC takes place on December 10, so all gifts need to be delivered to Mercy Church by Sunday, December 4.
For questions regarding this service opportunity, please email our Providence Road Campus Pastor, Gaven Sublet.
