One summer my youth group took a trip to Fort Caswell down on the beaches of North Carolina. It was there that I realized the faith of my parents was just that, their faith. I realized I was a sinner, and I myself needed the forgiveness offered by the blood of Christ that I’d read about for so many years. There at that camp I gave my life to Christ.

In college (Go Heels!) God brought a group of guys into my life through a campus ministry who showed me what it meant to follow Christ in my daily life. That group of guys were central in showing me the power of community in the Christian life.

The next few years were some of the most formative in my life. I found a local church where I could serve others and learn from those ahead of me in life, and I married my high school sweet heart, Courtney. We now have 4 children: Zeke, Ben, Ellie, & Haddie.
