Paul is on an urgent mission to tell as many people as he can in the known world about the love of Christ available to them. And in order to accomplish that mission, he is willing to do whatever it takes. He’s willing to be who he needs to be, give what he needs to give, and give up what he needs to give up. As we study 1 Corinthians 8-9, Pastor Spence calls us to consider what restrains us from doing the same.
From Series: “The Living Gospel“
The Corinthian church had no shortage of issues in their midst – their teachings, their relationships, their entire moral system – all had become faulty representations of Jesus. Paul’s response to this church is the same response that we need in our church today, not just behavior modification, but an overhaul of our entire system of thinking. In this series we dig into 1 Corinthians as we learn to take on a gospel worldview, to see ourselves and the world around us through the lens of our new lives in Christ.
